The Asphalt Calculator+ offers a suite of tools designed to assist professionals and DIY enthusiasts in estimating costs, sizes, materials, and prices related to asphalt and woodworking projects. The application provides accurate volume calculations in both cubic feet and cubic meters, as well as asphalt tonnage estimates specific to hot mix asphalt required for specified form sizes. It considers one cubic yard of hot asphalt mix to weigh 2.025 tons, equivalent to 4,050 pounds, with a clear note that within this app, a Ton is standardized at 2,000 pounds.

The primary asphalt calculator enables users to input length, width, thickness, and cost parameters to determine volume and project expenses.

In addition to asphalt tools, the app includes woodworking calculators such as a Wood Moisture Calculator and a Board Feet Calculator to assist in material quantification and moisture content assessment.

Area conversions are supported across multiple units, including inches, centimeters, millimeters, feet, yards, and meters. Distance conversions span inches through miles and kilometers, facilitating seamless unit management across various measurement systems.

The Wood Equilibrium Moisture Content calculator estimates the moisture level at which non-living wood (natural or cut) reaches equilibrium with environmental humidity and temperature conditions. This calculation is based on data from the U.S. Forest Products Laboratory and assumes the fiber saturation point at approximately 30% moisture content.

This functionality provides valuable insights for wood handling and processing by indicating when wood has stabilized moisture content relative to its environment.

Additional features include the ability to send calculations via email, support for all iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad), Retina Display graphics for enhanced visual clarity, fast app switching performance, automatic saving of inputs for convenience, compatibility with the latest iOS versions, and offline access without requiring network connectivity.
